khufu Facts :
A Fourth-Dynasty pharaoh who ruled during the first half of the Old Kingdom era, Khufu (originally Khnum-Khufu) is widely accepted as the king who commissioned the Great Pyramid of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
He was the son of Sneferu and Queen Hetepheres I and is believed to have had three wives. Very little is known about his reign, and the only surviving statue of him (found in a temple ruin in Abydos in 1903) is one of the smallest ever found.
